62209 Grizzly Flats Station

The beautiful "Grizzly Flats" station with its bay windows is typical of the period around 1870. It was originally built in the American Victorian style, for the Walt Disney film "Deep in My Heart". The shingled roof is supported by orante supports. The ridge of the roof has also been finished with decorative boards to match the walls. The doors and windows can be opened and closed. Many parts have already been aged. It goes without saying that the kit is weather-resistant.(water tower not included)

62210 D&RG Water Tower

A water tower is probably the most typical building of the steam era in the western United States.

The artificially aged and weather-resistant kit is an original reproduction of a 50.000 gallon tank belonging to the Rio Grande Southern Railway in RICO. It is the prototype for all RGS & Denver & Rio Grande water tanks. The water container has a wood grain surface and is held together by strong iron rings. The tower can, of course, be filled with water or emptied through the filling socket.

The timber construction and the round roof of this building kit makes it an imposing building which should be included on every genuine garden layout.

This typical small American station building, based on an authentic original, has a tiny office for the railroad agent, as well as a small waiting room to shelter passengers from the fearsome blizzards in this part of America. The little sign on the outside wall informs the reader that Morse Telegraph is available. With its bright, smartly pointed brickwork and colourful window and door frames, this country station is ready to adorn any LGB layout based on American prototypes.

62230 ClearWater Station

Built around 1870, Clear Water station appears in a typically American Victorian style. The small front annexe with bay windows provides the railroad staff on duty with a good view of all that is happening on and around the stretch of track nnear the station. The dark red of the masonry creates an interesting contrast with the light half-timbered construction. The ornamental beams support a very shingled roof, the ridge crowned with ornamental carvings. A weather-resistant kit showing realistic traces of ageing.

62231 Durango Water Tower

Nothing could be more typical of the steam era in North America than the large tank of a water tower, resting on heavy beams. In the "Durango" water tower the huge water container held together with strong steel hoops also represents the most important part of the model. The wood grain effect on the many beams, planks, boards and roofing shingles looks particularly effective. The tank can, of course, be filled with water and emptied via the swinging arm of the water tower. After all, the original of the "Durango" water tower held approximately 189,000 litres of water (almost 50,000 gallons) for the thirsty steam ironhorses of the time.

62232 Track Inspection Shed

In order to provide the railroads small inspection trolleys with shelter, many companies built track inspection sheds when the line was built. They normally consisted of just a simple structure of beams faced with boarding. Our model is a rather ancient example of these typical simple railroad buildings. Still essential on many stations today, the shed can also be used to house other railroad vehicles such as small goods wagons. The old fashioned looking cedar shingled roof, planked walls, double doors and the small side entrance have been weathered to look like the original and can stand up to any outside conditions.
