This locomotive is absolutely gorgeous from top to bottom. The paint scheme is amazing - I love the mountains painted on the side. Great quality. Runs beautifully - everything functions as it should. Love the SD70ACE - my favorite diesel, along with the ES44AC! When it comes to locomotives, I will only buy Lionel Legacy - they run, smoke and sound just like real locomotives - it is amazing! This was a great purchase and Legacy Station is a great train shop. I will definitely continue buying from them - they are friendly and helpful and make the customer feel valued - one of the nicest train-buying experiences I have had.

I recently purchased the Lionel Union Pacific FA-2 ALCO A-A Diesel engines (6-18119). It was first manufactured by Lionel in 1994 and appeared in that year's catalog. The engines are numbered 8119 and 8120 and are finished in yellow and gray with red lettering. The nose of each engine bears the beautiful Union Pacific red, white, and blue legend. Both units have illuminated interiors and number boards and red running lights. The powered A-unit has an AC Pullmor motor, Magne-Traction, and transformer-controlled forward-neutral-reverse operation. The sound of the diesel horn is sharp and distinctive. The engines traditionally pulled a consist of passenger cars also available in 1994. They included the "Romeo" Baggage car, the "New Haven" Combo Car, the "Plainfield" Pullman Car, the "St. Clair Shores" Vista Dome Car, and the "Livingston" Observation Car. They had illuminated interiors with passenger silhouettes. In my opinion, this is one of the finest passenger sets Lionel ever produced. This set was subsequently copied for the 2012 edition of the "Anniversary set" No. 1464W set except for the use of "Lionel Lines" on the sides of the cars. Personally, I prefer this 1994 set as more cars are available, and the "Union Pacific" name is painted on their sides. Also, the 1994 set was manufactured in America.The set I purchased is in excellent condition with the original box and instruction sheet. The engine runs smoothly, and all lights and the horn function perfectly. I am very pleased with my purchase and would certainly buy from Legacy Station again. I would highly recommend them to other customers.
