Train Wrecks A Pictorial History of Accidents on the Main Line by Robert C. Reed(Very Good)

Author Robert C. Reed, whose Great-Grandfather lost his life on a train wreck, has written a fascinating survey on train wrecks fully illustrated. Here is an absorbing story of train wrecks on the right-of-way, wrecks which brought on horror story articles, songs, and even scare-sketches frightening travelers and even making more accidents. One man, Cornelius Vanderbilt, who hated railroads after almost dying in one train wreck, lived to dominate the railroad scene and control the powerful New York Central. Fascinating stories such as in 1853, 46 people were killed in a head-on collision between two trains of different lines unfortunately running on the same track at Secaucus, N.J. headed to New York City. The definitive chronicle in the field of railroad accidents, a major historical work with a wealth of photographs and public prints of the day.

Is in great shape for it's age. Does not have any tears only has yellowing of the book from ageing.
