One of the most distinctive of the Milwaukee Road’s boxcars, these “rib side” cars stood out in freight trains all across the country with their distinctive horizontal stiffeners. Paint schemes here represent their use from 1939 to the late 1960s when some were converted with new load restraining devices or roof hatches.
