Very nice commemorative plate, made in 1938 for the Norfolk & Western Railroad.
Made by Lamberton-Scammell in the USA.
Made to commemorate 100 years of service on the railway.
This plate was not just for show, these were actually dined off of in the trains around the time period.
Features an intricate design with different locomotives and when they were in service for N&W.
Comes from a smoke-free collector's home, very well taken care of.
Red plate with the design, also has a gold rim around the edge.
Picture design is in wonderful condition, especially for the age.
Photos accurately describe the condition.
It does have a few light scratches from previous use on the rails, but very good condition!
Being over 80 years old, these are becoming very difficult to find and highly sought after by collectors.
Perfect for any railroadiana collectors, or simply someone looking for a decorative plate with a history!
