This HO sacle timber transfer is areplica of the original that once stood in the Mt. Union yard in Mt. Union, Pa. It served different purposes throughout its existence - from transferring lumber for mine supports in its early days, to cement in its later life for construction of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. This model makes an excellent point of attraction for your yard for interchanging freight on either standard or narrow gauge railroads. It would also be suitable for logging and mining roads.
