Model Train Engine O Scale Lionel Postwar Alco FA-2 A-A- Set Union Pacific 2023 GOOD No Box

A pair of Lionel Alco FA-2 locomotives from the post-war era, Union Pacific #2023.  A-A pair, with one dummy and one powered unit.  Both features working interior lights.  Powered unit has a single motor, has been tested and is running great.  E-Unit cycles normally, forward/neutral/reverse.  Conventional operation via transformer.  Motor sounds a bit dry, recommend fresh grease and oil.  Both units have warped body shells (see photos).  Possible were stored under a light source that caused the plastic shells to warp/sag just behind the middle-top.  Also some paint issues on dummy unit roof.  Nose decals are nearly intact.  Minor rusting on bottom of the trucks, wheels and rollers spin freely.  Horn/battery compartment on power unit has been removed.  Heavy battery corrosion around the insert hold (see photo).  A light cosmetic restoration and these will be ready to haul on your layout!
