Used Lionel 224E Pre War Set (2640x2, 2641x1) wo/Boxes

This late Pre War set is in Very Good Condition from a smoke-free home/collection. There are no missing parts. The engine is tested and runs, but makes a loud scrapping rubbing noise at times when in motion. The 2224W tender's whistle attempts to start, but does not function. It is presumed that a little maintenance/cleaning will get the unit working. The headlight functions without issue. The directional unit functions without issue.

One of the 2640 coaches' light does not function due to the wire popping off from its solder on the roller. There are some minute rust spots and paint scratches on the coaches. The observation cars platform jewels are in tact.
