Used Vintage Lionel #356 Operating Freight Station, No Box
Very nice Lionel Postwar era operating building!
This is an earlier Lionel model made for O gauge trains, produced in the 1950s.
It requires the use of a controller switch to activate the platform.
When activated, the platform will lightly vibrate and allow the 2 luggage carts to travel around the track.
This is a variation B model, comes with an orange and a dark green cart with figures attached to each.
Also includes original instruction sheet to detail how to wire the building.
Tested and working.
Does not include original box.
Comes from a smoke-free collector's home, well taken care of.
The white siding finish of the building has some slight discoloration from age, but still looks great overall.
A couple of the original stickers are beginning to peel off slightly. They are still attached, but corners are slowly coming up. Can most likely be re-stuck with a bit of adhesive.
The wire connections on the bottom of the building have a couple of spots of light surface rust, but it does not affect performance.
Overall, a very nice vintage building that is becoming harder to find over time.
The original luggage carts themselves are becoming more rare, with many breaking or becoming lost over the years.
Perfect for a Lionel collector, or simply someone looking to add an interesting operating building to their O gauge layout!
